The tit of the Earth on its axis causes seasons. The Four seasons namely spring, summer, autumn and winter happen with movement of the Earth around the Sun. As the Earth moves, the hemisphere that is tilted towards the Sun gets more of the Sun rays and so is warmer and has summer. The sun in this part of the Earth can be seen passing higher across the sky and the days are longer. The other part of the earth tilted away from the Sun has winter because it is less warm. There days are shorter. But the length of the day at the equator hardly changes.
