Carbon dioxide (CO2) and water vapour are the main greenhouse gases. CO2 is given off by power stations and factories. Aerosol sprays and refrigerator produce a harmful gas called Chloro Fluoro Carbon (CFC)
Other harmful greenhouse gases are methane, produced by rotting vegetables and rubbish, as well as nitrous oxide which comes from motor vehicles’ exhaust fumes and fertilizers.
