Rodents are small mammals, with four sharp front teeth. They are warm blooded and furry.
Mice, squirrels, beavers, porcupines, lemmings and guinea pigs are all rodents. Rodents suckle their young and feed on grass, seeds, nuts and plants. Their sharp teeth help them to gnaw through hard shells and bark. In fact, the word rodent means “gnawer”.
