Parasitic worms are worm-like organisms that live and feed off other living things or hosts. They get nourishment and protection from the host. At the same time they deprive the host of proper nutrition and make the host weak and ill.
Some parasitic worms live off plants, causing enormous damage to crops. Other cause illness to domestic animals and man. Threadworms and hookworms are some parasitic worms that cause illness in human beings, especially children.
