What are legionary ants? How did they get their name ?


The jaguar is one of the most impressive predators of the forest. But there is another, even more fearsome: a colony of legionary ants. As their name suggests, they travel in columns of thousands of ants. They are armed with their stingers, and mandibles and kill all insects and other small animals that come in their way.
