The oceans of the world are joined by seas. Seas cover smaller areas than the ocean, are nearer to the land, and are also generally shallower. There are dozens of seas, but some of the main seas are: The Red Sea, The Mediterranean Sea, the Baltic Sea, the Black Sea, the Adriatic Sea, the Caspian Sea, the Caribbean Sea, the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea.
